Iraq War: what do you think now?

Serious discussion area.
You realize that sometimes you're not okay, you level off, you level off, you level off...

Was the Iraq War a good idea?

Hell yes! We killed Saddam and found those.. well we're looking for those WMD! and we'll find them unless Saddam beamed them to his hidden outer space lair!

Well, seeing that I am the second vote on here, apparently I agree with you. There's no way around it, the American people, for the most part, embarassed themselves. If they could find a missle or a rail gun, then maybe this could be justified, but we found nothing at all.

And to think, I almost let myself get sucked in by the propaghanda.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I could care less if they find WMDs. I'm just glad to see that madman Saddam out of power, so things like this never happen again:

i say we did many positive things... sure we lost lives, but what could we do. What i don't understand is how people can be against Liberating Iraq, and trying to get Iraq some god damn money and freedom.

The fact of the matter is that it's not America's business to fix everyone's problems. We can't go to each country that may or may not want liberation and take out their leaders. What America is doing is not much different from what the Nazis did back in the 1930s, except for the fact that America isn't saying they want to take over the world like the Nazis did.

I just wish we would go back to an isolated state, and actually stay out of everyone else's affairs. We're not the answer to all problems, and we're not going to stop until we have another fuck up like Vietnam.

So Liam, what we could do is let everyone live their lives. If the Iraqis really wanted freedom that badly, wouldn't there have been massive uprisings by the people? All we did was go into their land, blow it up, kill lots of people, completely change the lifestyle they were accustomed to, and allowed them to loot the country. Where's the good in that?

Fully agree with the Nazi comparison, as well as the concept of isolationism.

anyone that chooses the last is actually the true danger to our society. To many people are ignorant, and follow blindly, those that follow blindly are a blight upon all of society and in a democratic society are of no use to us. At least corey has beliefs, and when you have beliefs you can make judgements on your own. When your ignorant you only give power to the corrupt.

does this include the money we give around the world for AIDS research, economic stimulants, and the money for defense packages?

money talks...bullshit walks. your always going to find people that believe this.

nobel prize  didn't they give sharon one of those? that's like Gabriel marquez Garcia winning the pulitzer prize for a book about incest and witchcraft.
