^actually that's the same with any bug really

we have this nifty electric flyswatter from hong kong. creative, crazy people they are. it's like a conventional flyswatter except there's a huge metal grid, and as you swat the air you hold on to this little button which sends current through the grid. when a bug gets caught in it, it fizzes and blue sparks jump around and it dies. if you continue to hold on to the button the bug eventually emits smoke and smells bad (and if it's a housefly, which are more explosive, it explodes in to a billion bits with a loud BANG)

my dad absolutely loves this flyswatter. whenever you hear a bug buzzing around in the house, even if it's a harmless thing like one of those green insects that like to hang around on plants, he comes rushing over waving the swatter over his head---"lemme get it lemme get it!" and this is accompanied by the freakiest of evil smiles.
