really next summersault Matt should be on the bill, they have so much in common, i'm sure it woudl fix all the bad press they got not to mention bring together to awesome bands with many others

There won't be another summersault... the band won't be around long enough for there to be one.

Actually, I agree with you that there's never going to be another Summersault. Concert planning is a bitch and I doubt any of the guys want to spend the time on it.

as for Summersault, it was probably the coolest thing OLP have done. Even people who dislike OLP really respected them for putting on an awesome festival. Not as cool as Perry Farrel's but still pretty cool

Summersault was suppose to be afestival for bands that couldn't play across Canada on their own> That is one of the reasons why MGB was not invited. They were able to play the areas on their own merit. The funny thing about SS2 is that Sum41 was on the second stage. They are probably more known and popular then OLP in the States. What is even funnier with that is Greg Nori is their manager, but Treble Charger never caught on here.
The last Summersault was huge not so much cause of OLP, but it was the last time to see the Smashing Pumpkins play in North America. I met aloto people who went up to see SS because of the Pumkins of Foo Fighters. I am a huge OLP fan and i didn't see every show. I met these two guys who went to all shows excpet 2.

well that is what Raine said in one interview on the earlier shows in 1998. Which would make sense cause there were alot of lesser known bands on the bill. actually the helping bands part only applied to half of the idea. OLP wanted to do a festival where they coudl sign all the bands that they liked to listen to and thought would be quality, and also to help expose new bands to a wider audience.

Actually I heard it was because Jeremy and Matt knew eachother from a while back when they were in high school. They were both at a party and Jermemy was drunk and decided it would be fun to give Matt's then girlfriend a wedgi. He was like "ahahah wedgi!" and grabbed her panti's and gave a good wrench. Unfortunatley Matt was near by when Jeremy did it and mixed with his love of practical humor and boose became enraged that he had not been invited to join in on the joke. To get revenge for this unacceptable slap in his face Matt proceded to run at Jermemy and smash his 2/6 of Crown Royal on top of Jermemys head. Unfortunatley for Matt on his way running towards Jermemy he slipped on an used condom that had been discarded earlier by the pope, thus smashing his head on a near by table and knocking himself out untill the morning. When Matt awoke he never had the chance to get back at Jermemy because as it turned out Jermemy was out partying because it was his last night in town before his family moved.Sister Awake wrote: It was rather funny. It supposelly stemed from OLP not inviting Matt Good on the Sumemrsault tour in 1998.
Matt's been bitter ever since.
