WTF is with the Deus Ex: IW packaging?!? It's got a box that's like a PS2 game case, only twice as thick. There's only two game disks! WHY!? What the hell am I supposed to do with this monster of a case?!?

Obviously, you should use it to store your Deus Ex disc.

Just a tip from a gamer chick.

Tough Choice eh Bobbo?
Weigh your options: Hot Gamer Lady vs Cardboard Box.
And you gotta ask yourelf: Do I Have A Chance With The Hot Gamer Lady?
and if the answer is "no" then you and the golden wang have a visit with the cardbobard box.

You also might want to consider that the chick on the box may or may not exist before you ask her out.

What I don't understand is why it wasn't in a regular jewel case.

It's like a DVD case, only twice as thick. I have nowhere to put this!
Even if I had a DVD stand by my computer, it wouldn't fit.
I had high hopes for this game, but so far I'm not loving it. That's partly because even with my new stuff, I have to have the video settings at the lowest, and I have to turn my video card's 3D settings to the lowest "performance" setting. Even with all that, it's laggy as hell.

The fact that they advertise for nVidia in the game booklet and on the case doesn't exactly bode well for my ATI card (though it says it's compatible).

The laggy performance is due to the new lighting system in the game. Per pixel dynamic lighting or something like that. Regardless when Halflife 2 comes out your all set with your ATI card. You WILL be buying Halflife 2 btw.

Damn right. That's the main reason I went with ATI! I've been waiting for that since Susan first told us it was on the way (a long time ago).

I turned it down to 800x600 (just in the game), and it works really well without shadows on. Geez, this game is demanding (and doesn't like my card).

It really sucks that Deus Ex dislikes ATI especially since its one of the first games to support dynamic lighting. Regardess ATI would have been my choice especially since they seem to be slowly gaining and even over taking Nvidia in the graphics race.

In a smaller jewel case, or in one of those portable cd cases that have a bunch of pages! Disc Washers and what not.

I don't actually care about it that much, I just think this packaging is completely moronic.
Plus, I'm pissed that they have a vendetta against ATI.
