If no connection....

Post by Venom »

Now right off I am gonna say that I don't know one way or another (nor does anyone else here) that there was a link between Iraq and Al Qaeda in relation to an alliance. However some of the new information comming out points to some kind of relationship. I leave you with these. Lets have a debate on something that cannot be proved yet. There can be no right and wrong in this debate (as there can on factual issues like the US economy *cough*clumsy boy*cough*) because theres no hard proof one way or another. Here are some interesting articles and a photo that I would like someone to explain.

You're using a painting that could have been done by anyone at any time as a source?

Okay...

:D yeah, the painting doesn't say anything, just that someone is a fan of both Saddam and Al Qaeda and expressed in art.

But I'm sure there are connections between Iraq and Al Qaeda, just like there are connections between Bush and Bin Laden and the US and Iraq (supplying weapons for the war against Iran). But it's impossible to say (at least for me) how deep those connections go and how much influence they have, whether there really is a coalition, or if it's just two separate parties asking each other for advice.

You say that it's a good subject for a debate because there's no hard evidence yet, I would think that makes it a bad subject for a debate because nobody can proof anything, it's just guessing and making assumptions.

Could you produce proof that there are links between Osama and Bush? Yes there are links between the Bush family and the Bin Laden family. The Bin Laden family has links to dozens of countries. They are a successful family, however they don't support Osama's Al Qaeda. He is the outcast of the family. I have said this before, just becuase one member of the family is a "bad egg" doesn't mean the whole family is.

That picture was found in Iraq. Axtech if you are insinuating that the US created it you are wrong. There was a reporter embedded with that group when they came upon it. No one from the US placed it there. Eelco you're right someone that was a "fan" of Saddam and Al Qaeda could have done it, but why? Did the artist think there was a link? Know there was a link? Hoped there was a link? Why would you create something like that? I'll have to look back on old articles but I believe that it was found hanging in a government building. I'll see what I can dig up.

The problem with the painting is that we don't know who painted it, when it was painted or why, so we can't draw any conclusions. I doubt the Iraqi government is behind the painting, that would be a little too suspicious and I don't think they're that stupid. But I don't think the Americans created it (they don't have talented enough painters :P ).

About the Bush and Bin Laden link, that's what I meant, you can find links between almost anything. The Bush / Bin Laden one doesn't hold up. as you pointed out. That could be the same for Iraq / Al Qaeda. It could also be totally opposite, that the two parties are working together very closely.

I would, but it was stuff like this that got things heated up with Amish. Coincidence? I think not.

You can post whatever you want. The simpleton drawings aren't gonna bother me in the least. In fact it makes you look more like a fool than me. I'm not Amish and actually I believe it was Alex saying that "The US got what it deserved on 9.11" that got Amish upset. Honestly I don't know how anyone could blame him.
