They deserve the money. The UN screwed up big time there. The Dutch soldiers were there to protect the enclave, but they didn't have enough weapons, food or authority to do so (and the Dutch army is a joke). When they called for back-up, the French ignored the request. And all the Dutch troops could do was watch how the Serbs got carried away to be executed.
unrelated topic but yeah i thought i would bring it up, i know a man that used to live in Israel untill he managed to get out and get into Canada. He wasn't Jewish he was one of the few Arabic Christians, putting him in a fairly neutral stance. The things he could telll you about the Jewish arn't good things at all. He lived there before any of the world knew what the Jews were doingto all other nationalities in the country. He would tell you horrible stories about the Jews, and stories of being assaulted by them constantly and having his home broken into. So just goes to show what the world see's isn't always what's going on under the surface

They were both guilty of "war crimes" but I would NOT use the word equal in there. The Serbs killed FAR more muslims and croats than vice versa.

I agree, but its exactly your thinking that slowed the UN response. The UN argued that it was a civil war because all sides were killing, however the Croats and the Muslims combined only accounted for about 14% of all the atrocities. Its said that they were just retaliating in the only way they could (since they had no weapons due to arms embargos). With all sides killing the UN (under its guidelines) said it could not intervene in a civil war.
