A few summers down the line, we might see the return of the festival tour OLP organized, which included acts such as Foo Fighters, A Perfect Circle, The Smashing Pumpkins, Deftones, and Sloan.

Those were fun. I went to both of them. The first one in 1998 was only 4 places. The 2000 one went across Canada..

The acts in 1998( in Barrie) were
Side stage
Fuel
Esthero
Harvey Danger
Eve 6
can't remember others.

Main Stage
Jonny swing something( can't remember their name)
Garbage
IME
OLP
Crystal Method( who closed the show)
I think this weekend may be the Annniversary of that show..

I went to Vancouver for 2000. That was the only show A Perfect Circle or The Deftones played. That was Aug 4th..

Side Stage:
Finger 11
Sum 41
Catherine WHeel
Eve 6

Main Stage:
Treble Charger
A Perfect Circle or Deftones.
I think the Deftones filled in for APC -but I remember Maynard being on stage with them..
Foo Fighters
Our Lady Peace
Smashing Pumpkins

The Pumpkins closed that show cause OLP had to fly across the country for the Rolling Rock Festival in Letrobe PA..

That sounds like a good lineup... I'd love to hit up a music festival!

Be that as it may...

PS: Does Chart actually like OLP, or do they hate them? I never get it!

Chart leans towards whichever is cool at the moment with OLP.

I,too, am a veteran of both Summersaults...Barrie in 98 and Montreal in 2000. Gail - A Perfect Circle played the whole tour...Vancouver was (sadly) the only Deftones show. And, the Pumpkins closed out every night of the tour, as it was their supposed last tour of Canada. Like Jer said, I think this would be very difficult for them to pull off now...travelling festivals have just gone by the way side...Lollapalooza, Edgefest, etc. The 2000 show was one of the best I have ever seen though.

So I didn't see the post above me! Just said the same things as me, the only thing different I said besides APC playing all the stops and the Pumpkins being the headliner was that I think OLP headlined one of the shows. Just can't remember for sure.
