I just bought Happiness...

Post by rustynation »

and y'all are right. It's my favourite. I listened to the first nine songs straight through before I realized it was a CD and not the ambient noise that I should hear in my life. Right now I have Naveed-Clumsy-Happiness-Spiritual Machines-Gravity in my CD changer. It's an Our Lady Peace night. Probably cuz it rained all day ;)

Happiness was my favorite for the longest time. I'm coming out of a Naveed phase and into a Spiritual Machines mood, currently. Clumsy was what started it all, so it gets it's credit, there.

8O I enjoy Happiness... the least out of the 5 albums. I dunno, maybe I just haven't listened to it enough. I think Clumsy is my favourite.
Some of you probably think I left. But was I ever here to start?

I'm interested in why you feel that way. Most everyone puts it on their top 2, and then all of a sudden we come accross a couple who just rate it lowest.

Hmm... I don't really know why I don't like it. The only songs I like on it are the three singles, plus Happiness and the Fish, believe it or not. As of now, this is how I rank the CD's.
1. Clumsy
2. Gravity
3. Spiritual Machines
4. Naveed
5. Happiness...

I know a lot of people will disagree with that. :(

Clumsy's what got me into OLP, though. There's a big diff between 5 and 4...but only a marginal diff between the last 4

8O u JUST bought happiness!?!? :wtf: how have you been living before this??

but yeah that's gotta be my favorite album too, it was the first one i actually bought, even though i'd heard some of clumsy before, and i was just captivated from one man army. i think i listened to the whole thing the first time through while just standing and staring at my stereo.

I got Clumsy at a garage sale before I had even heard of OLP. It was only 25 cents and at the time I had no cd's. So I thought, "what the hey?". I listened to it, and almost through it away. Then I dug it up around the time of Happiness..., and I've been listening to Our Lady Peace ever since.

Wow, most people have Clumsy as one of the least two favorite songs...and Gravity as the least. Xavier, you're different, but we love you here.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

lol, I think Clumsy and 4am is what got me into OLP. I bought Happiness and I was like, "WTF? Where are those songs I love?" I bought Clumsy the next week. So, I got Happiness before Clumsy, even though clumsy was what got me into OLP

I could have sworn people rated the OLP cd's on here and Gravity usually came in last, and Clumsy was rarely in the top two.
