They get front-of-line access -- so if they get to the show before doors open, they get to cut to the front of the line and will be the first group let in when the doors open. Once inside it would be a free-for-all, they'd have to hurry to the barrier and stay there, if they need to leave and want to come back hopefully someone would hold their spot. If they arrive at the show after doors open, they can probably still skip to the front of the line if people are still filing in but would be out of luck on getting to the barrier.... what fan buying VIP tickets wouldn't show up early though?

Hey, hey - long time, no post.

The last time I saw OLP it was in Brussels, Belgium in 2002. I can't believe its been 7 years!

I heard about the tour and picked up a pair for each night at Massey Hall. I'm in the lower balcony for night 1 and the upper balcony for night 2.

It will be interesting to see them dust off the old catalogue. I'm betting on a heavy dose of Burn, Burn in the 2nd set.

I wonder if we can expect any special guests?

PS. Are there any old school clumsy congress types still lingering about? Anybody who remembers the old school green background?

Yeah, while I'm glad Edmonton has a general admissions show....Edmonton Events Center has got to be the worst venue in the city.

There's a giant pillar (or two) blocking the stage if you stand back far enough, security is stricter than Rexall Place or even, an airport (especially if you go to a hip hop/rap show), and acoustics suck ass....but I have seen a band or two defeat the bad acoustics and pull off pretty awesome shows...hopefully, OLP can do the same!

That's what HoB did, it was called "Pass the Line" or something. If you got a meal at their restaurant or spent a certain amount of money in the giftshop, they had you line up in a room across the hall from the stage area. So we got admitted in before the rest of the crowd. There were probably around 50 or 60 people lined up, and I was probably within the first 20 or so. They started letting us in around maybe 6:30 or 7, and I got in line at about maybe 4:30ish. I got second row on the floor, although I did manage to get my hands above the stage a few times since the guy in front of me would lift me up to get closer for a few seconds (which Raine would look down and kind of grinned at).

i dont think so. i started coming on the cm when i was like 14. i didnt actually start posting till 16 or so..

It's true, that venue isn't very good. I feel special having been there.

I know that when I saw Marianas Trench there, the security wasn't very accommodating about letting people hang around after, but the security in front of me was very nice, and we had a good chat. Also, the sound was shit -- the only time I really heard anything was when there weren't drums or bass. It was good that I knew the words, otherwise it woud've sounded pretty instrumental...

Take earplugs for OLP -- it will help cut down any wild bass sounds. I usually take earplugs to concerts and I'm sorry when I don't. Plus nobody will have to scream in order for you to be able to hear them the next day.

Not sure if this has been asked, but anyone know if these shows are played with the album set first, then the other set afterward? Or the other way around?

I really do think it should be the other way around... Especially if that second set it just for the most part basic ones. Like I said before, it'd be kind of anti-climatic to go from Clumsy/SM to the hits...

However, if they pull out some huge surprises and close with something like Stealing Babies, then it'll work out.

I remember a GA show I went to years ago had VIP tickets. It might of been the HOB in Atlantic City..People with VIP got special wristbands to get into area set up for them. There was as section cornered off for those people. Either in front of stage or just off to side of stage in front. It might of been the NIN show I went to in 07' or whatever year that was. Only people with wristbands were allowed in. They had security there all night so the chances of sneaking in were slim..

Yes, agreed. Although I don't know how much patience I'd have to wait through 10 songs for Clumsy/SM

The best part with Clumsy is going to be that the first 2 songs are going to be ones that we've heard a lot of recently (if they go chronologically by song rank), followed by Carnival, one we haven't heard in a long time, followed by Big Dumb Rocket, one that I don't think was ever played before. It'll be pretty damn exciting that first night in Halifax. If I don't make it to that concert I'll be refreshing Youtube all night long

Big Dumb Rocket was played. Every song from Clumsy was played, although a few of them were only played once or a few times. But I think BDR was played consistantly on the Clumsy tour.

I saw OLP on tour for Clumsy. They opened for Everclear(97) and 3rd Eye Blind(98) in USA.. I caught one headline show in NYC.

The songs I saw done off the cd on those tours were
AF, SD, Clumsy, 4AM( which are still done today). I also saw
Let You Down, Hello Oskar, Shaking, Carnival, Car Crash. Unless done on Candian tour Big Dumb Rocket was not done at USA shows. I do not think they ever did Story of 100 Aisles.. I saw about 8 shows for that cd.

According to the Hub, Big Dumb Rocket was played at least 14 times. The Story of 100 Aisles was performed once, at New Haven, CT.
