i heard the live version first.

i thought it sucked.

i heard this version.

i also thought it sucked.

thus, not everyone that dislikes the song dislikes it because they liked the live version so much. those of us who disliked the live version also dislike this version too!

for OLP to ever make a "proper" record again that i think any of us would be overly pleased with it would be for arnold lanni to come back, mike turner to come back, and raine to write more "cryptically". i seriously think it's mazur who is holding them back though, the guitar player means so much in a band and usually pops off the ideas first. he's not a bad guitar player, no, but he's just... average.

i like the song but it sounds like a recycled kelly clarkson tune or something. maybe raine is bringing his b-sides into OLP?

i dont know but i still think burn burn is gonna come out crappy. maybe theyll surprise us and make more sophisticated pop either way i'm still excited cause it's just new olp.

Hmm, I see that Jer deleted Codes' comment on his Facebook page criticizing the song... unless it was Codes that deleted it?

Anyway, since I'm here... I'm starting to get used to the song too, after more listens, but every time I play another song right before or after it, you can notice that its played at a much too unnaturally slow pace.

I have the same effect, but this happen because the song is nice...i tell that the song don't like us because that isn't OLP style, but i made listen the song at non-OLP fans and all tell me that the song is amazing!!!!!

However i'm a drug of OLP and i can't live without theirs song then i will listen also the new OLP...

I let my friend... he hasn't heard the live version... he said it was okay, I asked if he thought it was played too slow he said not really... but he did say it sounded just like "any other song out there" and when comparing it to Stealing Babies, he said "WTF thats the same band? same guy singing?"... he still refuses to believe it's the same singer..

I'm sorry Codes, but posting negative stuff about this song on Jer's Facebook is poor form. Of course he deleted it. Stating your opinion on a fan messageboard is fine, but that's his personal space. He shouldn't have to deal with fans groaning about what they don't like about something he worked hard on on there. He's nice enough to "friend" us as it is.

Sorry about the rant, but that bothered me.

That was actually one of the few things I liked about the song. I found the cymbals kind of cool.
