I think Avril met Chantal and Chantal befriended her. Sort of became her mentor. They invited her out to California to work on some tracks in their home studio. She ended up staying with them while out there..

yes her name is Bebe and they also have someone else look after the children. Bebe is the nanay and housekeeper the other is personal assistant who also looks after the kids.

dont think that Avril was ever there to look after Rowan. I think Avril was making it big, moving to california and was only 16 or 17. they were really tight and with as much fervor they are enimies

I figured that they kind of took this newly crowned "punk-princess" under their wing and just let her stay there for a while. I saw them as mentors to her as well.

I remember Avril coming out, and I thought she was so cool. And heck yes, I admit, I still do think most of her stuff IS cool. Not as HARDCORE as everyone thought she was, but still spunky. One of my friends likes to tell me that I'm like an Avril Junior with the way I dress. Naturally, I look like a dumb tween trying to be 'kool.' I wish I could pull off the stuff she did!

I remember at the Massey Hall show, before she played that song, she said "This is a song about someone I really fucking hate." (possibly paraphrased) I figured it was about Avril from that comment since I'd never heard of her fighting with anyone else! Although who knows, it could have been about an abusive uncle or a drunk grandmother or something.
