The part that is representative of "how many times have you been pushed around" reminds me of the piano riff from an 80's song that I can't remember the words to....or the name of. That one part throws me off. I do like the chorus of it, I thought it sounded really nice. Not bad, I just think that one riff is weird, the rest of it sounds good. maybe slow the intro just a bit? that's cool. I liked the part where you had the vocal melody in thirds (I think it was thirds, at least). I'm actually just in the process of finishing up an arrangement of life myself, for the piano. It's pretty simple compared to yours though.
