Help get OLP on a video game! (Link included)

Post by Neil »

http://www.rockband.com/index.php?do=/public/

Click on "suggest a song for rock band"

This game is going to be released at the end of this year. Its a project being done by Harmonix (worked with Red Octane on GH1 and GH2) MTV and EA Games.

Rock Band is going to incorporate four parts: bassist, guitarist, vocals, and drummer. All four parts will be sold together, or seperately, for the game. I believe 360, PS3, and the Wii are all getting this game.

So.....being that MTV has signed on; it can be expected that Rock Band will be more mainstream than the Guitar Hero series.

Everyday, or as often as possible, please go suggest "Somewhere Out There" and lets see if we can get OLP to be featured as a track to play and sing on "Rock Band".

I can't wait for this game....

Of all of OLP's music.....it got the most American airplay.

Love it or hate it......it would be sweet ass fun to play it.

Seriously, it's one of the shittiest songs they ever released. I wouldn't buy a game just for that song. It would take something off of Spiritual Machines or any of the earlier albums to get me to buy something like that :P

Well, if ya'll don't wanna do it for OLP.....then do it for me. Personally, I'd find a lot of fun being able to play some OLP in a video game.

Crap Bag has to agree with Neil on the fact that SOT is the only olpness song that stand a chance on appearing on that game. Crap Bag also agrees that it would be cool to play some olpness on that game even though it is SOT.

Crap Bag has spoken.

Somewhere out there is hardly a rock song though....

I voted for it too but wouldn't be awesome to have something like Starseed or Story of 100 Aisles in it? When crashing down to reality though, SOT seems like a safe way to go so that there's a mild possibility it may appear on the album.

Exactly. Harmonix is from Boston, and odds are they would probably not consider checking out the older (and lesser known in the US) OLP material. Especially since MTV, I'm certain, has quite a bit of the say in what tracks will be included.

I know some song by Weezer has already been confirmed, and also "In Bloom" by Nirvana.

Thing is that I don't understand the need for this game. Guitar Heroes II has some pretty sweet track but there probably aren't that many 19-year-old Warrant fans like me haha.

There is no need.......however, if Harmonix lives up to what they did for GH1 and GH2. "Rock Band" is gonna make GH3 seem boring.
