Ow, a woo woo, Ow, a woo woo OR Na lalalala lalala

Post by quietorloud »

Recently (or is it old?), at live shows, Raine's been singing Superman's Dead a bit differently than on the album. Do you prefer to "Ow, a woo woo, Ow, a woo woo" or the new "nah, lalalala lalala"?

I like the nah lalala lalalala's, it's a nice change, but if they were to change it forever I'd write a strong worded letter.

I first heard it on the MuchMusic premiere and absolutely loved it. It is a nice change. When you have a classic song for almsot 10 years you gotta change it a bit.

I don't like new versions of Superman's Dead, I LIKE IT JUST THE WAY IT IS!!!! No lalala, unless it's Jeremy!

the nalalalas confused the hell out of me. i was happily singing along, and then suddenly he switched up the chorus, and i looked like an idiot singing along to the wrong thing.

so. change is bad.

Yeah I'd rather hear the same songs. I don't like when they switch things up - I mean yeah changing the key or melody partway through - that's fine because no one can hear you while you're singing along off key anyway. But changing the words? Whether it's a retarded noise like the ow ahooo or an actual verse, no change. NOOOO CHANGE.

i love the lalalas
you have to, you just have to trust me
whoever i was then i can't ever be again
the faith you've found i've never felt
the terror held in wedding bells
the comfort in "there's no one else"
the truth be told, i'm never going to know

I love them too. I fell in love with them the first time I heard it. I also love change and always see the good in it.
