The point is that it was offensive. Ok, I'll admit, I was naive to fall for your "joke".. However, No matter how it's intended, joking about beating someone or killing a girl is not a laughing matter.. Think about that. You're trying to turn domestic abuse into something amusing.

Unfortunately you are not making light of these people at all. If this is the point you were trying to make why not just make that point as you did here? To type as if you are the antagonist in a violent situation really does not convey that information.
