Steve talked lots
Just imagine how much more disappointed you'd be if you'd gone down there and Raine wasn't there!
Sand was going to record, but was having PC problems and still hasnt' made it back from restarting.
So here's a synopsis:
Jer didn't play in the Juno cup cos he has/had some kind of blood clot issues in his arm and needs to be in one piece to drum.
There was some discussion about someone taking a leak in the bushes outside the studio - I'm not sure if it was Jer or a tramp they were talking about who Jer described as doing listerine shots.
Steve was drooling over the radio station's vinyl collection. Specifically the Bowie stuff. There was some discussion of something called Cat People that Bowie had something to do with, but I didn't really understand what was going on.
There was the usual "what have you been up to, why did it take so long to make the album" stuff - and Steve answered, which I'm not sure I've heard him do before. Stuff about keeping going back to make things better and how they had the issues getting along and how it had to be the best ideas make it and check your ego at the door. Then the DJ said that probably lead to listerine shots every morning. Then Jer said Bob got them started on that.
Bob's father died last week. But other than that he's ok and working on the new Hip album.
The DJ asked who was going to cry when they win a Juno. Steve said probably him. His other Juno lives in the freezer at their rehearsal space, and the idea of having another one to join it in the freezer is just too much.
The Rick Campa.... (did he used to be aMuch VJ?) came in and they forced him to talk and it was something about him wearing eyeliner that I didn't really get.
Jer's son will be a month old on Thursday (so he was born on the 6th of March).
The DJ then asked if Steve had any babies and Steve said none that he knew about, but one day he'd like some. Then Jer joked that he could get Pamela Anderson drunk and try.
Then they played a song by The Band cos the guys requested it and they said they'd listened to it lots while they were working on the album.
