OLP @ Buffalo "Spring Fest"- April 21/06

I hope this gets officially announced so this thread is not a waste. I need a new thread for this topic because I can't respond in the news section :cuss: I'm just a lowly commoner!

If Buffalo is official I'm definitely planning to go. I've been trying to figure out how many bands will play, what time it will start, whether or not I have to take the whole day or a half day off work, how to get tickets, etc. Since there's not a lot of info yet, I found some details from last year that might help.

In 2005:
-tickets were $30 (free for UB students)
-doors opened at 5 and the show started at 6pm
-there were 4 artists/groups - Snoop Dogg, Jadakiss, Cassidy and Elephant Man, with a DJ mixing between sets
-a UB student was the opening act and MC for the show

Is anyone else planning to go (assuming this unofficial news becomes official)?

I was told by a friend in Buffalo who heard the radio announcement that the "classified" band is Live, but again, there's nothing official announced yet, so we'll have to wait and see.

"official-er" is my favorite hyphanated word, but not my favorite word of all time. My absolute favorite word of all time would have to be "hifonated" since a don't have any clue how to spell it.

Are OLP bigger than Live there? That would surprise me, but what do I know?

I was thinking the same thing. Live's definitely bigger than OLP here... but maybe in Buffalo it's different cos of the Canadian border being so close.

Live WAS bigger than OLP but have been MIA for years. No one talks about them anymore.

Weren't they opening for Nickelback recently? :freak:

Please don't tell me it's "Classified" ...yeah. ...he's a rapper from Halifax ...hehe not a bad rapper either!

This'll be a good promo show for him to get his stuff out there.

But there could also be a band named "Classified" ...we shall see :uh:

I'd think OLP is bigger than Live in that area. Buffalo is pretty Canadaized (I love making up words) and I don't think Live is out pushing or promoting anything.

Have they done anything since their greatest hits album? The last time I heard from Live was about 3 years ago....I saw them at a local college. The attendance was pretty poor, but they still put on a great show.

Yeah, Live are one of those bands that are always great in concert, but their newer stuff is not as strong as the older stuff. But, they do have a new CD coming out in April or May I believe, so them playing with OLP could be feasible. Plus, they are now both under the Sony Label conglommerate here in the US.
