how many years of high school did you have, Sooz? Until recently we had 5 in Ontario (Gr 9-12 + OAC)... so he would have had 5 years of high school unless he fastracked to get out early (which is entirely possible)

Ooooooooh I forgot about that whole crazy 5 years of HS thing! Yeah, he might've graduated in '94, then.

I started school when I was 5. Had probably 2 and a bit years at infants school, then at 7 I went to junior school for 4 years, then at 11 I went to senior school for 7 years and finished when I was 18. Does that answer your question?
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

so you had 13 years until finishing high school?

We had 14 in Ontario.... I started @ 5 years old in Kindergarten, then gr 1-8, then high school for 5 years finishing at age 19 after OAC.

ahhh, ok so maybe he did finish in 94. I can't imagine still being in school at the age of 19. 18 is the age of freedom - legal drinking + university!

yeah most people turned 19 during OAC year. A few people were finished at 18 if they started Kindergarten at 4 years old... all depended on when your birthday fell in the year.

The cutoff ages for your schools are so different from ours - interesting.

There are 2 ways of doing school cut offs. It tends to vary by area. The other way I'm not entirely sure of but there's some kind of school that I don't know the name of from 5-8 then 8-13 is middle school and then 13-16/18 is high school. In some areas the schools don't have a 6th form (the 16-18 bit which is optional) and you have to go to a college for that bit.

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever

You know Rusty, I expect he didn't actually invent insulin - he may have discovered it or worked out how to make fake insulin or something though. I should read that page Sand linked to to find out!
