that is so sad :(


the domestic violence shelters we work with, along with the food banks, constantly request these items from us as people cannot afford them and no one ever thinks to provide them. Lots of times we've taken cash and bought an entire cart of sanitary products for delivery to a shelter... the stock them and provide to their women.

Got it at work like not even halfway through the night. That's seriously the worst. Thank god I always have a pad and Midol in my purse. I have to remember to restock, though.

I got really lucky, though. The "I'm so weak I can barely even hold my head up or lift my arms" feeling that I always get when I first get it didn't happen until I got home and sat down here at the computer. I would've been useless at work if it'd happened then. Ugh.

I'm just praying mine stays far away while on vacation. I didn't prepare well.

Almost all of my friends have had to go on birth control because they are so irregular and they hurt so bad. I'm the only one who only gets bad pain once and a while and is regular without help.

I've got mine now too. I'm one of the lucky ones though, generally all I need is some ibuprofen when it first starts. Sometimes it's worse, but it's never been really bad. About once or twice per year I feel depressed-ish about a day before it starts, but in a detached sort of way that goes away if I distract myself.
