It was incredibly good. And expensive enough to warrant stealing the pen.

I wish I was doing something for New Years. I could go to a party someone I'm working with is having but I have no way of getting there and I don't wanna crash a party of someone elses friends.

Also, apparently one of my friends is really sick and has to go in for surgery and everything. She used to be my best friend and we would tell each other everything and I had no idea. I heard this through someone else. In just this year we totally seperated. I bought her something for christmas and dropped it off on christmas eve as sort of a peace offering even though we never had a fight. I figured I'd hear from her by now or something, but no. I donno what else to do.

awww sarah, i'm sorry about your friend.

i'm probably having a little get together with a few of my friends. you could come if you want. there's no alcohol involved, though. it'll just be food and movies (on the projector ;) ). quite understandable if you don't want to, but the invitation's there :)

Aw thanks. Your a sweetheart. I'll probably end up staying home though.

I can only really remember 2 new years where I've actually done something cool with a bunch of my friends. Everyone I know seems to "do stuff with their family". Call me bitter and synical, but I don't get it. Whats the big traditional meaning behind new years? I always looked at it as an excuse to party or go drinking or whatever. I don't get the tie in with family events.

I really gotta stop using this thread to complaine

The family thing is part of the bringing in the New Year. Having been on both sides of the NYE festivities I think it is safe to say that i much prefer the quiet family affairs. Genereally I get together with a couple of the families in the neighbourhood and we play games, eat drink and generally have fun in each others company.

When i was younger and went to parties it seemed that there was a lot of attention paid to the midnight kissing. That can be uncomfortable and it is way way worse when you work in a bar. Belive me there is nothing special about drunk guys trying to get a kiss from you.

If you think about it NYE is about bringing in a new year. I guess you should spend it with people you want to be around where ever that may happen to be.

Awww Cass :(

Insomnia sucks. I haven't had it this bad for aaaages. :(
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

I just fell off the library.

Mother. Fucking. Ow.

However, I *think* my kidneys/other important organs are doing ok, so I'll be alright. As long as I don't move. Or breathe. You know.

That was exactly what I thought.

This year for New Year's I'll be working. No wait, I've done that for the last 6 years. Oh well, New Year's sucks so I could care less.

It does suck. It's not funny. I don't laugh when other people have misfortune.

Yannic, did you go there with that boy?
