my computer is ridden with viruses and i don't know what to do. every 5 seconds i get a message saying another virus is in quarantine. i can't clean them, but i can delete them. but they just keep coming and i don't know how to stop them. then after awhile, the screen will go all black then a blue screen comes up saying "beginning physical dump" with all this code.

i don't know what to do.

turn off system restore (right-click my computer icon, properties, system restore, turn off system restore, ok), then run a complete virus scan with updated virus lists, and clean or delete the infected files (just make sure you don't delete any important windows files like explorer.exe cuz if you do you're screwed and you'll have to reinstall windows). after virus scan turn system restore back on. that should work for starters

ok, there is no system restore option

so, i think i may have figured out the problem, but when i try to delete said problem, it says that i can't and that the source file is in use, even when i try it in safe mode.

google up the program name. i'm sure you'll find removal instructions or an individual removal program specific to your problem program

Ok. First of all, after I update to msn 7.5 I now have an echoing sound in everything that makes a sound. I have no idea why.

Also, I am trying to reformat and it keeps asking for the windows service pack cd 2. It had never done this before, what the eff does that mean!? I NEED TO REFORMAT!!

so...why won't altnet get itself off my computer? it comes up everytime i do a spybot search, and says it's part of the registry key...is it safe to delete the altnet folder itself? cause spybot itself can't get rid of it, apparently....
