Long Jonny....I agree, it does sound like what you said. Took me a few listens to change the words around. It's not the first time Raine has me thinking he's saying something else completely.

Try listening to bootlegs of unreleased songs, or older versions of released songs. :lol: Oy, that's some hard stuff.

It is in fact "oh my day, oh my day, oh my god." I once read an article from back in the day where Raine said that he was highly influenced by Janice Joplin and the tendency to used his voice as an instrument. I'm sure he was looking for words that fit the melody rather than making coherent sentences.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

Exactly. I actually enjoy that part of the song, for that reason alone. In a transition like that, you don't need sentances or completed thoughts. The tone of voice, the tune itself and the few words thrown in are together able to get the feeling across.

I listened to Gravity again yesterday. I was struck by how heavy the bass is. Other than that, I once again found myself underwhelmed. Not repulsed by any means (hell, I remember arguing that the album was good when it came out ... it just wore out pretty fast). But we've gone through that before ( :gravity: ), so I'll leave it at that.
