I had just gotten back from a career counselor at Queen's, who basically told me that what I had intended to do (and had gotten my hopes up as my path through university/life) wouldn't be possible.closeyoureyes wrote:Whats wrongAxtech wrote:I'm about ready to just fucking give up.

See, I had wanted to major in Philosophy and then go on to teacher's college, eventually teaching Philosophy, Psychology and possibly a few other courses at the highschool level. But, apparently one can't get into teacher's college with philosophy OR psychology.
But, I've figured out that I can do a medial in Philosophy and History (that's 7 credits each, over 4 years), and take 3 courses in another teachable (English or something else from a list, I haven't decided), and still be able to take at least a few psych courses.

Good job. Wait...you can't get into teachers college with philosophy or psychology? My highschool offers both those subjects.

Most highschools do. But as for teacher's college:

The only bad thing is that I have to take more history courses and less psych courses than I would have liked.
But, I plan on taking quite a few Classics courses (most of which qualify for history majors). Roman and Greek mythology, society, art and culture.
