I'm pretty sure that Duncan told the CMers that it is going to have art on the cover. Not a picture of the band, not a picture of Sol.

I think with that ad, they're just playing with the fact that we've all been in the dark for a very long time. Obviously they don't want to give out many details. In that context the ad seems fine to me, and certainly says nothing of what the actual album will look or be like.

haha. That's actually the cover. The album is called "August 2005".

In other news, the album "August 2005" has been pushed back to January 2006.

There was an update on R/S's site saying the Canadian release for the new CD may be July 26th.


And now you can start hating me for random reasons.

Found this about the Live 8 concert, apparently OLP have been approached.

"She wouldn't confirm a CTV Newsnet report that a concert would take place on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, and that artists being approached to perform two or three songs include Bryan Adams, the Barenaked Ladies, Jann Arden and Our Lady Peace."

Would it be considered pathetic if I order a Canadian import of HIPT if it comes out two weeks before the US version?

I did it for SM, but that came out like 7 years before the US version.

Nah, I say go for it. The currency conversion usually works to our advantage, anyway. I probably will if it comes out that much earlier.

I did with the Live DVD... but I actually waited til after the recall... not because I was psychic and knew that was gonna happen or anything (:lol: that certainly worked out well for me, though), but because I was too po to buy it right away the first time.

nothing wrong with that. Just hope you get the cd before the two weeks. :lol: :lol: .. I got SM also.I was actually in Canada the day it came out. I was in Montreal for the Club shows. I won tickets through the fan club. Aww memories. That was such a great show.. Besides being probably one of OLP's longest shows( a little over 2-1/2 hours), it ws great to see them in that small of a place in Canada. in USA that is norm for us..Plus seeing HOPE done in it's entirely again.. I was convinced I would never see that be performed live again..

I also got the DVD, and the re-release of Gravity..Funny thing is the DVD since I ordered form SONY I got two.. the origianl one they sent that waas signed, and the repleacement. My origianl plays find on my dvd though so I have an extra one.. LOL..

NIKKI, THe conversion isn't as great as it use to be. A CA dollar is about .75-.80cents now.. 1 USA dollar is about $1.20 in CA money now..
