Today's highlight: One of my most favorite customers is the mother or my chemical/paper goods department manager. She is a wonderfully sweet old lady and I always give her a hug when she comes in the store on Tuesdays. This being my last week at the Jefferson City store, Linda (dept. mgr) told her that it would be her last chance to see me before I transfer. So when I saw her today, I gave her a big hug and she said "So I have to say bye to you now, huh?" I told her yes, unfortunately I have to go. So she told me she thought of me like one of her grandkids and she had something for me. She reached in her purse and handed me a little box with a keychain inside. She told me "Whenever you look at it you can think of me."

I was humbled that she would think enough of me to bring a gift, and give me nice compliments as well. Best part of my entire day.

well, it wasn't that latin test
it wasn't having to limp all the way to campus on a twisted ankle FOR the latin test and back again
it sure as hell wasn't getting mobbed by 200,000 striking concordia students while attempting to contend with said ankle
guess it was the awesome turkey wrap i had for lunch, then
