My ex broke up with me over an instant messenger after a year and a half long relationship.
I got broken up with over the IM once too, and the guy didn't tell me why. Luckily it was a short relationship that was already completely doomed, so no emotional scarring or anything of that sort.

yeah it's not as bad for short relationships. It's like, "hi, we've been together for 2 weeks and you smell like my bum, so if I told you this from any closer, I'd probably throw up from the smell."
actually i think i'm gonna go with my dad's old approach and just stop calling her... heh heh. it seemed to work on the weekend. i don't think she'll notice, seeing as how i think she asked me to take her shopping for a new outfit to wear out on some date she has on tuesday... and i think she wanted me to pay.
