You know what? Recently I have been really serious in my dream to have Matt come to the states. At first i just thought it would be cool. But i really think if he comes to the states I will do whatever i can to get to his concert. I'd love to see him live.

Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.
And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

When I saw Matt, both him and Rich said they were trying to play some stateside shows so it cold be true about the Peas. I know Matt goes back out untill August. At least that is what one of the guys on the crew told me.
Cross fingers cause he is so awesome live.
I got all my photos back. I have to scan them in. I won't be able to post them, but will give my photo link for you guys to see them.

did you get regular or digi-pak. My friend got Digi-pak mailed out to her. I forgot where she ordered it from. I have heard that Maple Leaf sent out Plastic. Just curious.
I probably won't get my CD in the mail till next week sometime. I choose(SNAIL MAIL as they called it). I don't care cause I was lucky enough to be in Canada the day it was released or else I would be anticipating the arrival of my CD.As far as the autograph goes I really don't care.. I got it when I saw him on my Avalanche CD, and a few years ago he signed my MGB cd's so I am cool. The one thing I love is the guitar pick I got. It is just grey and says Nylon on it, but these are the ones Matt uses. I had him write MG on the pick I got.
I am really digging this CD alot.

I got a digi-pak. I ordered it from Amazon.ca, because it looked like I was going to get it faster that way. I didn't care about the autographed copy from Maple- it isn't fun if you don't get it in person.

So I've had Empty Roads stuck in my head all day. What a nice song.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

got the album finally.
i really don't have anything bad to say about it. right now put out your lights is my least favorite, but that could change.
the songs are simpler but not stripped of quality or originatliy. and as for the country twang, i rather enjoy it. these days it isn't very often that you can say an artist actually created an album with a distinctive sound that marks it as a real takeoff from the preceding album... most of the time you get the same shit repackaged with a few different intervals and chords and a new set of lyrics. this album really diversifies matt's catalogue. me like.
(in my head i'm still formulating the political statement that's being made with the country twang... there is one, i'm sure of it... just haven't clarified it to myself yet, give me a few days.)
oh yeah and currently, for me, the highlight is blue skies over bad lands. and the end of we're so heavy.

and another hand reaches out to take up our arms.
Nobody's gonna miss me, no tears will fall, no ones gonna weap, when i hit that road.

gonna leave 'em all just like before, i'm big city bound, your always 17 in your hometown

You know, I think this cd has the potential to make him a known face in the US. But I really don't want that to happen. I know it's really selfish, but I like not hearing him on the radio, and wearing his shirt and getting puzzled looks and remarks like 'who the hell is that'. I don't know, I like it. I liked that with OLP until they made it big here.

ok, so i need to order this cd, but all the places in the area don't yet have it in their databases, so they can't order it, so i'm going to order it from the intranet......what's a good site?
