We have a 1 gigabyte per day transfer limit, which a lot of people ignore. I downloaded 9 gigabytes and uploaded 13 over a 3 day period so they shut me off. Which I think is dumb because the guy across the hall uploaded 60 gigabytes overnight once and just got a warning.
They restrict the dialup because they only have a limited number of lines and they don't want people to have to deal with constant busy signals.

we (various folks on the cm) are conducting a research project into what eats socks when they are washed and dried
we have chosen you (since you hate socks) to be one to go into both the washing machine and dryer to see to it that nothing steals those socks
once complete you will be very clean.. you may or may not shrink.. and might be a bit dizzy.. but we get our socks w/o having any stolen and thusly we have completed the project we set out to do
