I think kids need to learn to CARE. They need to know what's going on in the world, and how it affects them. They tend to not watch the news or read newspapers, so they don't know what is really happening. I know I feel frustrated that I don't know enough about politics and I'm probably the least apathetic 15 year old out there.
Most kids seem to have this mindset that not even politics, but everything that happens in the world is something other people should think about and doesn't affect them, so they shouldn't care about it. How are kids ever going to become politically active (whatever way that might be) if they don't understand them?
