If this can spark some voting interest I think it could help the democrats in the upcoming election. I guess it's hard to say, but if they reach their goal of 2 million additional voters then that can help in the attempt to put away Bush, especially if those 2 million tell their friends and what not to vote as well.

It'll be interesting to see the effect it has.

remember when old people wanted to be cool, and tried to associate with rock and rap stars?

now it's the other way around..... :freak:
Whenever death may surprise us,
let it be welcome
if our battle cry has reached even one receptive ear
and another hand reaches out to take up our arms.

Nobody's gonna miss me, no tears will fall, no ones gonna weap, when i hit that road.

If you need Run DMC in order to convince you to vote, then I don't want you picking the leader of the country in the first place.

Hey a votes a vote. They don't ask you for your reason for voting when you reach the ballot box. Thats what democracy is all about. Giving people the chance to play a role in their country.

hmm... missing the point I think... People had the chance to vote before Run DMC said to do it. He isn't giving them anything. Do you think people who need a rap star to convince them they should vote really care who becomes president? Do you think they do anything other than throw a ballot in a random box? I'm not convinced that they do. It is also funny how you are so sure that people who will be affected by this campaign will automatically vote Democrat...
