I just realized that all of the gaming threads are scattered, so I locked the old PC game thread, and made this all-in-one gaming thread.

What's everyone's favourite game(s) of '03?

Mine would definately be Prince of Persia. This is honestly one of the BEST games I've ever played. It's got everything and more. If you haven't played it yet, try it now. It's got a super-easy learning curve, because you're introduced to new features as you go along. I'm about 80% of the way through the game, and I'm not tired of any part of it (while usually I'd get sick of doing something if it's the same throughout the game).

WWE Smackdown!: Here Comes the Pain.

I'll let it be known that I hate wrestling. Seriously. And I rented this game, and then bought it on boxing day.

Season mode is awesome. The game is easy to figure out, and there are 3498676967 different match types to choose from. Create A Wrestler is good, but could be better. I haven't really used the create and animation feature a lot, but whatever.

Anyway, if you like fighting games or wrestling, pick this up. It appeals to both the hardcore wrestling fan and the casual gamer. Any anybody in between.

My favorite games of 2003 have to be Soul Calibur 2 ( The best fighting game ever created) and Metriod Prime. Metriod Prime alone merits buying a Gamecube. Oh and the Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is also freaking amazing.

Wind Waker was definately a blast, I just wish they'd make the battles harder.

Woah, I just beat Prince of Persia. The ending is absolutely phenomenal! Seriously, the storyline in this game is better than 90% of the movies out there.

Plus, the gameplay is amazing.

Right now I'm playing Final Fantasy XI. I'm totally milking my 1-month free trial. So far it's been great. It might get kind of boring if you have nobody to play with, but you're always running into people in game that you can party with and do quests.

When I'm not playing FFXI, I'm playing Gunbound, which is a lot of fun for free (http://www.gunbound.net) and Day of Defeat (http://www.steampowered.com).

Ahh good old gunbound. I stopped playing after i hit Gold Battle Axe. No one i usually played with came on anymore. Day of Defeat is another story though. I stopped playing for a month or two and wasnt able to get back into it after the patch.

I am so behind in video games. Really I love them but I can't afford the new ones, I barely bought a playstation about a year and a half ago so I've been playing all the games on that during 2003 (FFVII, FFIX, Xenogears, etc).

And I've spent my whole Christmas break replaying Lufia and the Fortress of Doom which was released in 1993 on super nintendo...

i'm really gonna buy a ps2 when they get cheaper.
don't look now, just keep watching the TV hating what's too see waiting for someone to say something that's right.
