Why haven't you gone metric?

Every now and then I fall out into open air just to feel the wind, rain and everything.
And though the hum and sway gets me down
, I'll find the way to peace and openness.

but that means you're falling in line with seinfeld

the nasa thing was something about them being given info from the people that built an instrument in ONE system, but thinking it was in the OTHER. if you backwater hicks had switched to the system of the educated intelligensia (metric) that never would have happened :P

another question for you all, do you pronounce it KiLOMeters or kilo-meters? I'm from the praries so i don't call them kilo-meters, even though i'm pretty sure that's the proper way.

yup you're supposed to preserve the pronunciation of "meter" so it's kilo-meter

ok, i'm gonna make acid 5 in the coffee maker, and put some acid 3 in my ice tea. (only you wouldn't call it tea, you'd call it what it ranks on the Ph scale.)

blah...this ice tea is too neutal'ed down.

  Using the pH scale when knowing the acidity of something doesn't matter isn't the point.

The point here is to change from one form of measurement to another. This doesn't mean that you should go around measuring things. Just that, when you do measure things, metric is the more logical choice.

i mean c'mon dude, if you want everything universal and logical, then why not use the Ph scale to describe every liquid known to man.

me...i'm a fan of variety. i'll mesure my penis (85) in inches, weight myself in stones, use miles as distance, and use pounds to measure my steak.

um... I'm not saying that whenever you mention something you have to say how many meters it is. Just that it makes more sense to use Metric than Imperial.

so if the rest of the world used "imperial" and we used metric, would you look at us backwards also?
