Gotta love double standards. Oh yes, where would we be without them?

Then they must have said that after I stopped listening to the bullshit they were trying to feed us. I distinctly remember them saying that they had killed Sadam and his sons. They also said that they found his sons, and left it in the air that they weren't sure about Sadam.
Oh well. Now that Sadam's out of the way, Bush can start imposing American beliefs on everyone and pumping out that Texas Tea.
sorry rob, but you are absolutely wrong, there was quite substantial coverage on the finding and killing of Saddam's sons, they showed their bodies on television. There were absolutely no claims of having found or killed Saddam.
they did claim he and his sons were dead for a few minutes when they blew something up...
but that was a different occasion all together.
and of course they were terribly wrong since they have killed or captured all of them since.

I remember hearing that he was killed, and then basically the next day they had changed their minds. So..... yeah. I know they did say that they had killed him. As for his sons, I never heard a thing about that, but then again, I don't really pay attention to the news.
This is my story both humble and true,

I believe you guys are refering to after the initial strikes when they thought for sure they had Saddam after they had pretty good intelligence as to his whereabouts. It turned out they had missed them.
Just a thought. Wouldn't it be funny if this guy was just one of Saddam's lookalikes that he has? If this were true I wonder if the US govt would ever release that info to the media. They're already the butt to many jokes, the rest of the world would have a field day if this happened.
Oh and on another note, wasn't showing Saddam on television after being caught illegal? I mean he is a prisoner of war. I guess it's just another illegal move made by the US. Man when they're on a role, they're on a role!

I read an article where they said they took DNA blood samples. I'm pretty sure the US government would be so careless to do that, as for other things though...
Exactly. I am pretty sure no one sent us a vile marked "Saddam blood and semen" or anything, so how do we know it's him? And even if we did get it, we just found Saddam. It takes at least a week to check a DNA sample. It hasn't been a week.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

a swab from the inside of his cheek silly.
seriously, this is a good thing, but i'm not naive enough to think we just stumbled upon him this close to election. i think we knew where he was all along and only now acted on it because bush was getting bashed by democrats about the war.
Whenever death may surprise us,

Nobody's gonna miss me, no tears will fall, no ones gonna weap, when i hit that road.

gonna leave 'em all just like before, i'm big city bound, your always 17 in your hometown
well if we knew where he was all along then i'd say it only came out now because look how conveniently close it is to re-election time. bush has just enough time to expose saddam's capture, shine the situation up, and claim responsibility for ridding the world of one of the "evil-doers." whoop-dee-doo, ain't it super?
I voted for Bush. *awaits hanging by the CM* I was pleased with how he handled the whole 9/11 thing, and the "War on Terror" was a novel idea. However, it flopped and then I think he had to find someone else to go beat in the head. If there had been any weapons of mass destruction found, I would have felt like the war was validated. I have lots of friends who went off to fight in Iraq, and luckily none of them have been hurt or lost their lives. I am thankful that they went off to fight to try and protect everyone else, not knowing for sure if there was anything that needed to be protected or not. As of yet, there has been nothing found that we needed to be protected from. The only good to come of it is that we eliminated a bad man from power, and are attempting to give people the chance to live their lives the way they want to (and who says they want to have the same ways of life we do?). I am saddened that so many have died. I can only hope they felt like they were trying to do the right thing, and I applaud them for having the courage to go fight. Finding Saddam, and liberating Iraq is not enough for me to vote for Bush again. His performance as President has not been impressive enough for me use my vote on him a second time. That was just my opinion. I respect what all of you have said, and if you want to cuss me and bash me now, then I understand. *runs*
