The US is probably the single entity that is holding Israel back right now. Palestinians are scared now? Imagine if the US let Israel off the chain, and trust me, they surely would like that. Palestine should be thanking the US right now for its compassion.

She means that every time someone says something bad about Israel their being called anti-semetic. The Israeli are hiding behind that, trying to get away with everything.

Thats not true. They are calling the burning and the bombing of thier synogages anti-semetic. Not to mention the German officials that deny the Holocaust ever happened!! Here are just a small samples of a few of the attacks in the past year:

Britain: The Hillock Hebrew Congregation synagogue near Manchester, damaged in an arson attack this month.In August, vandals smashed headstones at a Jewish cemetery in Prestwich and In May, 386 Jewish graves at the Plashet Cemetery London were desecrated.

Germany: In Gundesberg last month vandals sprayed Nazi slogans on headstones and the cemetery gate. Wreaths laid at a memorial for Kristallnacht were defaced.

France: This month, the Mercaz Hatorah school in Paris was set on fire, while in July, a synagogue in Saint-Denis was ransacked, prayer books were torn and "Juif-mort" (Jew-death) written on a wall.

Italy: In March, in Milan, anti-Semitic graffiti appeared on the office of the state-owned radio and television network, after a journalist of Jewish origin was named director.

Austria: A rabbi was assaulted by two youths as he walked home from prayer in Vienna. The attackers kicked the victim and struck his head with a bottle.

Belgium: In June, a man of Moroccan descent attempted to explode a vehicle loaded with gas canisters in front of a synagogue in Charleroi, Belgium. In April 2002, the same synagogue was the target of gunfire.

I think anti-semitism will continue for a long time in this world. It's a sad reality, but it's true. People associate Jews with wealth and prosperity, and view them as the source of problems. There will always be people who will strike at those who they believe are better than them. It's a way of making them feel equally superior.

Stereotypical and wrong! There are wealthy people of all faiths and by no means are all Jews wealthy! People who think that they are are strongly mistaken. I think you were saying that thats what some think right? You don't believe that do you? That would be like me saying that Muslims are the source of a lot of problems, since the majority of terrorists are muslim. I don't believe that for a minute. Most Muslims are peaceful its just a select few that are radical.

Of course it's a stereotype. That was the point of my post, that people view Jews as a whole as wealthy and prosperous. Of course I don't think that, but I do think that others believe these stereotypes, just like some believe Arabs are terrorists and blacks are criminals.

It's just the way the world works. Instead of looking at the individual, people look at the group. It's not right, but it's also never going to stop.

That's just part of it. Basically they're calling all criticism on Israel anti-semetic.

Israeli Ministers and spokesman have also been at pains recently to insist that a definition of modern 'anti-semitism' should include criticism of the way the state of Israel chooses to protect itself, defining that criticism as an overt attack on Israel's survival.

Tragic list, but what are you trying to prove?
That anti-semetism still exists? Yes, unfortunately it does, I'm not going to deny that.
That anti-semetism is growing? You need more than this list. It doesn't say anything about the past, even if there are more attacks now it doesn't mean anti-semetism is growing, it could be a smaller group that's being more malicious.
By the way, if you look up attacks on mosques and other islamic places I think you would find just about the same amount of incidents.
