Can you use usb2 things in a usb1.1 slot?

I'm guessing no. USB2 is much much faster than older USB ports. It's like PC firewire.

...Though manufacturer's do often make these things backwards compatible, so they might.

I was confused when i was looking at mp3 players to buy and on of them said usb2 (usb1.1 compatable) and I was like :WTF:
