Individual rights are not specific to each individual. They're inalienable, you all have them and you all have the same ones. It's not like Aerin's set of rights and my set are different.

The point Ayn was making is that the individuals rights are ignored by your political systems. that is a fact, friends. and it makes all minority rights advocates look a little like hypocrites to me.

side note: narbus took my side!

your a functioning part of society right? your indulging on the perks that are granted to you by the government are you not? there's no action on your part demanding that you be denied these comforts.

i have no choice. the government makes it illegal or impossible to offer alternatives to their "services". my refusal to be shot and killed hardly indicates my compliance or agreement.

but your not doing anything about it. your "logical" non-action isn't making any progress to your cause. you want to live in anarchy, then your either going to have to use force (something doug doesn't agree to) or democracy. (then you'd be a hipocrit) what are your plans other then complain about it?

i will never engage in a violent conflict with the state. even if my side ended up winning, there is a high probability that i would be killed. it is totally irrational for me to take that risk.

there are other means, however, of disbanding a state.

heh, and you've done nothing. the great thing about a republic democracy is if you don't like what's going on you get rid of your rep and send in someone else that would do something.

besides, ananrchy is popular with who? 18-25 year olds, the same ones that don't vote nor care about politics.
