Toss a fat salad telemarketers!

You all hate telemarkets as much as I do??? Then sign yourself and your phone number up so that as of October 1st of this year, nearly 80% of all the crap calls that you receive will no longer get through.
Keep in mind, 27 states have their own "do not call lists" already being enforced and if you're on one of them, you do not need to sign up for the national registry because your number will roll into the national database.

Sucky ass end: There ARE exclusions.......political contributions, charities, surveys, national phone companies (i.e. Sprint, AT&T, MCI), and anybody you have done business with in the last 18 months.

I'm sorry...........but the whole national phone companies thing is CRAP because they are the reason I get a lotta them DAMN calls!

I got one of those, but it was automated; then its no fun screwing with the telemarketer.

I get those calls sometimes at work where someone says hold on for the next available operator to claim your prize or something like that

I have an unlisted number, and thus, no telemarketing woes.

Bah, I keep getting the "Let's call you, and then put you on hold" calls. Lordy lordy do I hate those.

Also, I really wish I lived in one of those states where recorded messages were illegal. I really hate those, too.

I don't mind telemarketing. What's the big deal? If you don't want what they're selling, hang up! Big deal. I hate it when people say that it's an invasion of privacy, because it really has nothing to do with privacy. Oh no! My phone's ringing! I feel so exposed! Oh, leave me alone you dangerous phone people!

Yeah, Jehovah's Witnesses are far more annoying than telemarketers. Those people just won't leave!

I get the same call always asking me to buy subscriptions to this magazine... even though I've told them a hundred times that I don't want any, they still keep calling!

OK, here's the trick with Jehova's.

They come to your door and give you the bullshit about how they are superior, and just question them on one thing. They believe 144,000 people will be saved on judgement day, and there's many more people in their religion than 144,000. So with that knowledge, ask them what makes them so damn pious and worthy of being saved. They'll stammer about a bit, then you just tell them you don't believe in what they're preaching and shut the door.

I live in a city chock full of Jehovas, and this never failed me.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I've only had religious types come to my door once or twice. I would do that, but I don't think I'll be getting an opportunity any time soon.

No, the fail-safe thing to do with religious door-to-door types is to invest in a Satanic Bible, and keep it near the front door. Whenever the fundies come a-knockin', whip out the Satanic Bible and say, "I'll read your Bible if you'll read mine!"

aww that reminds me, i saw these religious people standing outside of a pseudo-abortion clinic (they just help the person plan for it or something? all i know is they don't actually perform them there) and they had these big signs and bibles and shit. yeah, so it made me really sad. did that have a point in this thread?
