Do you feel safer since TWAT started?

I was reading the houston chronicle today.[link]

and one paragraph really threw me off.

"The possibility that al-Qaida terrorists were inside the United States plotting attacks was highlighted last week with the announcement of the arrest of Iyman Faris, an Ohio truck driver who secretly pleaded guilty May 1 to plotting to bring down the Brooklyn Bridge."

Secretly. As in, the circumstances under which his plea were entered are secret as well.

doesn't this make anybody nervous?

Yeah that's just a tad suspicious... and especially since they seem to have no problem with dropping hints about it

we don't know anything about this guy. we don't know if he was tortured, lied to, or what sort of things were done to him to draw out a confession. we had no idea he was even charged.

people. you should be opposed to this.
