Major ruling at University of Michigan

So Affirmative Action is ok, ... just not the way they've been doing it? Well, it's a start.

ya I dunno what to think about this. As much as Affirmative Action helps get some kids into schools in which they virtually had no chance because of various situations, it's also being somewhat hypocritical because don't we live in a society which is supposed to look beyond race and colour?
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

Let me put it this way......when I transfer, I'm definitely marking down on the application that I'm Native American

I'll get a damn letter from the tribal council if I have to, dammit anyways.

I think its whack......the whole idea needs to be dropped. (AA I mean)

Greetings,

Our victory at the Supreme Court calls for a moment of collective celebration.
Therefore, I would like to invite the campus community to an open house
this afternoon, Tuesday, June 24, from 4:00-6:00 p.m.

We will serve cookies and punch, and I look forward to seeing many of you
this afternoon at 815 South University Street.

Best wishes,

Mary Sue Coleman
President

Well gee, that fucking helps me now. If they had that in effect two years ago, I'd be harassing Bethany at school all the time. Yesssss.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Hey bethany were you wearing a helmet while riding your bike? cause I was watching CNN this morning and they were showing clips from yesterday and this girl on a bike went by but I couldn't tell if it was you or not.

I saw that white girl with a 3.84 GPA, who thought her life was over because she didn't get in. (I was kind of amused... I just thought it was funny because they never said what she got on the SATs and maybe thats what moved some people ahead of her. Geez!)
