Anyways, a girl in my Latin class had mono and she said that when you get it, your throat will give you the WORST pain of your life, and it'll hurt so bad that eventually you'll get numb to it because you know there's nothing you can do about it.

I had mono for about 3 months and yeah, your throat hurts really really bad. And there's nothing they can give you for it because antibiotics don't cure it. It's no fun at all.
Don't say we're healing when it's just not what we do...

i think rob gave me mono. i have a sore throat and have been really tired these past couple of days.

Strep gives you really bad sore throats too

this is like 100X worse then when i have strep. Anything you do causes pain to your throat. I swollow, drink and eat as little as possible

Take a hot water bottle or just something really really hot and put it on your glands. Sometimes that would make them feel a little bit better.
Don't say we're healing when it's just not what we do...

strep was possibly the worst painfull experience of my life. I swallowed and it felt like my throat was folded up or something and it wouldnt go back to normal. it was so uncomfortable.

Yeah I had strep and it was hell .. but I was pampered at home and I lost a few pounds over it since I couldn't eat anything :) I couldn't talk for like a week straight .. kinda funny .. happened at New Years Eve too so I couldn't go out and party :(
