Mono

Post by areusad831 »

Has anyone here ever had mono??

I got tested for mono and I thought you were supposed to have a fever and be chronically tired? I have a REALLY soar throat and my neck and glands are swollen and I am just more tired and weak then usual. I have had this for about 6 days now and antibiotics arent working which means it is some form of virus such as mono. I am just wondering what symptoms people had with mono and how long it lasted for.

Yeah, that's mono. Extreme tiredness is the main symptom.

A girl at my school was just sick for a while with it, and we talked about it in Bio.

So, you been kissin' around a little to much, eh? :P

She had the really bad soar throat?

Funny thing is this is the first time since 7th grade that I havent kissed a girl in 3 months. Go me! :( So I am thinking my last gf gave it to me or I got it mysteriously.

Now I get to do the infecting

Mwa ha ha. Spread it, man.

Yeah, she had huge glands and a sore throat. Said she had some minor trouble breathing due to the glands. No big deal in that front though.

It's just one of those things where you'll have to stay home and hope you have enough energy to type up a storm here.

I love how people think you can only get mono through kissing

What was really funny was this:

Student 1: Yeah, so Liz is home with mono.
Student 2: She is? But her boyfriend doesn't have mono... Hmm...

They were, of course, just joking around.

i think he speaks of water fountains.

you can get it from contact of an affected persons saliva, that is the only way. If you have a lot of stress there is a better chance you will get it.

wow must every topic become X-rated?
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.
