Blix not doing his job.....

So the US is lying and we're just a bunch of warmongering idiots right? We showed evidence that these unmanned aerial drones existed and people scoffed at it. Now evidence from the inspectors that they found one and Blix tries to hide it to avert war. More evidence that the US is right and the opponents of the war are wrong and even try to hide things.

The war is not wrong. Saddam and co. didn't declare those UAV's and guess what they existed. The US knew it and no one believed them. We also know there are thousands of liters of VX and Anthrax. The only reason to not declare these items is because you plan on using them or selling them. The US will go in there and disarm Iraq and get rid of the tyrants that rule it. You will see how righ it is in a couple weeks because the US and Britian are going. If the resolution is vetoed it will be sooner than later.

the weapons that saddam does or doesn't have don't make the war anymore legit.

it's still bullshit.

actually it would, because it states in certain resolutions that if this demend of disarmament is not fully achived by the ruler of Iraq that it will be done by force. To back down from that agreement completely undermines the existance of such a company such as the UN, and it would cause the extinction of it like the league of nations.

Why does the US need the support from the UN to attack Iraq?

it's a UN resolution telling Iraq not to have those weapons. not the US.

Of course. The US doesn't need permission. It is more of a PR move. With the UN's approval, it seems more appropriate and shows that the whole World is behind them.

The UN was put in place to "govern the world" so to speak... and if the US defies them then technically the UN would be useless and would serve little purpose.

Well the UN is just as useless by not performing according to its agreement.

This is my personal opinion.

The UN needs to do something aboot Iraq. What I mean is that there are many places to hide their weaponsa of mass destruction. Surely, the UN inspectors didn't look everywhere. Plus, 4-5 years back, didn't Iraq kick out the inspectrors? So that means they had a good deal of time to manufacture weapons.

I believe the UN is attempting to solve the problem in Iraq. The inspectors are doing their jobs, and I feel that if you keep them in Iraq, Saddam will have to conitinue to disarm as he as been doing.
Keep troops near Iraq and as soon as the Inspectors give the word that Iraq has stopped disarming, than let them attack.

we only gave saddam like 14 years... ONLY... he needs to be put to rest, we can't have Saddam doing what he is, its barely about the weapons anymore, its about liberating Iraqis, the only thing wrong with that is it will probably turn into another vietnam

Liam in all your infinite wisdom do you believe that life will do a 180 for citizens of Iraq if Americans "liberate" them?

I highly doubt it.

Bush is making it into "liberation" when all he wants to do is kill ssaddam, and in my opinon he deserves it. America being the Mall Security of the world has to do anything it feels like to get saddam out of power. then Bush feels like making it into a civil war, while we need to try to get Russia, or China to help us out a little bit and take down North Korea and possibly help us take down Iraq... But i don't think we should turn Iraq into a civil war, because a civil war should be...civil
