It's spelled boarders/boarding by the way .. just had to point that out :D

I was supposed to try boarding this year but due to not having a credit card I wasn't able too. You have to use a credit card to put down a $400 or a $500 deposit if you rent the board/boots and all that and I don't have one. :(

Worst skiing experience was when my friend and I managed to get lost and end up on a black diamond hill and the only way off the hill was down it. She sent me first and I was just going too fast and losing control .. so I made myself fall and rolled a couple of times, lost a ski and messed up my knee pretty good. All of this happening right under a chair lift to many whistles and people clapping at me and shouting out "are you okay?" so in the end it was kinda funny.

Another time I fell and jammed the pole into my chin which was bleeding pretty good and left a huge bruise.

Lets see...hmmmm
1. Broken Nose(man did I bleed)
2. Severly sprained my ankles(at the same time)-I tried a jump
3. Tore Ligaments and Tendons in my knee-the same chair lift
4. Bone Chips in my knee-chair lift again.
5. Bone chips in my elbow-chair lift again
6. Squashed my testicles when I took out a snow fence
7. Torn abdominal muscle-just a simple little wipe out.

The sad thing is that I've only been skiing 3 times before...needless to say...I don't like to ski or board now. Im such a clutz :clumsy: :freak:

Every now and then I fall out into open air just to feel the wind, rain and everything.
And though the hum and sway gets me down
, I'll find the way to peace and openness.

I really think chairlifts hate you. The only injury I've got was fracturing my clavicle, but that had nothing to do with snowboarding.

clavicle
we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.

I didn't say collarbone because of the ALK3 reference. :)

Sure skiing/snowboarding is fun..when one's not wiping out and hurting one self...ie-me. I wish I had just clipped the chair lift.....heck I wish i just missed it.

I'm more of a snow mobling type of guy.

I'm going to Holiday Valley for 3 days. I can't wait.

I sprained my wrist. But I've only been doing this for one season. So we'll see.
