Every now and then I fall out into open air just to feel the wind, rain and everything.
And though the hum and sway gets me down
, I'll find the way to peace and openness.

he said

"it's been such a fucked up day, with the state of the union and bush saying they're still going to invade iraq.

but it looks like we've finally got a prime minister with some balls, who said canada won't join a war with america if they do invade. but we don't know what he really thinks...

and he's kind of a fucking asshole anyways"

he got a MASSIVE pop after he said that. boo yah.

bush sucks, war sucks, chretien sucks, gore sucks.

that's my doctor seuss styled poetry for the day. enjoy.

we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.

Going to war with Iraq is the right thing to do! I'm getting sick of people that keep preaching that "Bush is a cowboy", "Bush is a warmonger", etc. What are we supposed to do sit back and wait for Saddam to sell chemical and biological weapons to terrorists so that they can use them on the population of the US, Canada, UK, etc? Come on people the evidence that he has these weapons is irrefutable. He has used them on his own people for Christ's sake. And for the record Canada is siding with the US. For all of the people that feel we should just sit back and wait to be attacked first I hope you all feel the effects personnally and then maybe you will rethink this "Iraq was is bad" retoric.

saddam is in the u.s.'s back pocket. the war is about oil, not terrorism.

Everyone has weapons of mass destruction which could destroy the earth five times over. No one uses them because if they do, everyone else will. Bush is trying to take over the world to bring "peace". That's not what peace is. How can he expect to nullify everyone else's weapons, yet keep America's for "defence"? Everyone else is also looking to defend themselves. Bush is making people see everyone else as evil tyrants trying to hurt everyone. However, from their eyes, Bush is the evil tyrant trying to hurt them. They're both right. The world is corrupt. There is nothing we can do about. I'm just sitting back and waiting for the end.

Hmm, I wouldn't say theyre in our back pocket. I'll take the middle road and say it's about both. There's no way you can say that Saddam doesn't cause any trouble, he clearly does. Therefore, there is other reasons than economics for going to war, even though they may not be the whole reason. And I dont even know why debates go on in the first place. All I read about in all my general studies classes are about people bitching. It's ridiculous. Everyone either wants it their way, or no one's way. "Fuck what other people think, I'm right and everyone is wrong." It's so annoying. No one will ever be completely happy. It's the same way with the issue of going to war. If we weren't planning on doing it, people would complain that we should be. They will also be complaining in another 6 months when gas is rationed and $3.00 a gallon.

Another thought about the SOTU address... are the applause breaks needed?? It was so stupid watching people give standing ovations after every sentence, sit back down, and do it again. It's a speech, and they made it seem like a sporting event. The fact that there is commentating doesn't make it seem any less "for entertainment purposes only." They should just let him talk.

It's some sort of traditional thingie. If you notice it was mostly Republicans who participated in the standing ovation stuff. It's some sort of propaganda scheme.

Fuck war.
Fuck Bush.
The world is too fucked up for any good decisions to be made. I'm waiting for the nukes and the end of the world. I think it will happen soon.
