Aren't tickets to that like really, really expensive? LIke $96 for one day? and $176 for the whole weekend? I don't know about you, but i have no money and secondly, i know no one who would want to pay that much to go with me.

I found some article about it on the CC:
OLP, ZZ Top to headline music fest
WALKERTON, Ont. (CP) -- Some major starpower is slated to attend a three-day music festival in this southern Ontario town next summer.
ZZ Top, Bryan Adams, Travis Tritt, Our Lady Peace, Peter Frampton and Martina McBride have been booked to perform at Watershed Four, to be held the weekend of Aug. 30.
Tickets, $176 for the weekend or $96 for single day, go on sale Dec. 6. Profits from food and beverage sales will go to local service clubs and to Walkerton Minor Sports.
The 2002 event, which featured Supertramp and Brooks and Dunn, attracted 40,000 people -- about five times the size of the local population -- raised nearly $200,000 for a wide variety of community activities.
Mayor Dave Thomas said he is delighted Watershed is returning for a fourth summer.
"This event brings a lot of attention to a town which has seen some very hard times," he said. "Watershed brings the biggest stars in music to an area that sees relatively little live entertainment, it raises money for community groups, and it gives Walkerton a real lift."
The annual Watershed festival began three years ago as part of a goodwill effort to rebuild the town after the worst outbreak of E. coli in Canadian history. Seven people died and 2,300 fell ill in the southwestern Ontario community when E. coli bacteria made its way into the town's water supply

I just about screamed when I first read that (but didn't because I'm in a library). I was at Watershed last year and, although it was a little bit of a rough experience, I'm going to see if I can make it up there for it.
(Last year, there were about 35,000 people there (the orginizers sold 15,000 tickets at the last minute (major complaints were made to city council), the line up consisted of all country singers except for Barenaked Ladies (who didn't take the stage until quarter to 11 that night) and it was one of the longest days of my life. But I have a feeling it won't be as bad this year - as I said, there were more than a few complaints made to Walkerton city council and the line up as a bit of varity.)

I might actually go. Driving from Boston would be about 15 hours, I bet, but whatever. I'm planning to rent cars for next year's concert binges.
Hey Emily Jane, Great Big Sea and the Tragically Hip played the next day at the festival.

Well when I was living in london, during the whole Walkerton scare my mom called me up all scared cuz I guess London is pretty close to there .. so if that's the case it's not that far away .. money isn't that big of a deal but I know I won't be able to find anyone willing to go with me, pay that much AND drive me

i think i would pay to see this as well, and i told my parents about it. they seem up to it... and because it says this:
'None of the headliners are expected to perform elsewhere in Ontario during the summer.'
i wanna see OLP in the summer! i would love for them to play Bayfest again!

^^ That really sucks .. so obviously Canada isn't getting an OLP tour if they won't be here at all during the summer .. the one summer date they pick is in a city nobody has even heard of too .. go olp
