It's the Bon Jovi song -- y'know, "shot through the heart, and you're too late! You give love, a bad name!"

Of course, Atreyu then proceeds to (simultaneously) scream "FUCK YOU!" right after that.

Which only adds to the hilarity of the fact that they are covering a Bon Jovi song.

Amazing no one mentions that they covered "You Give Love A Bad Name" for a hidden track on The Curse.

C'mon! It's hilarious!

I suppose I'm the only one, but I easily nominate Room On Fire by The Strokes. Drums and bass, two guitars, and a voice, all perfectly tuned and bouncing off one another at a speed that'll make your head spin.

Otherwise, The Pillows had an incredibly amazing release in November with Penalty Life ...

Stephen King took horror from castles and put it in TOWNS RIGHT NEXT TO MINE. Literally. I mean, there are characters in his books that he named after people I know, and places in towns right next to mine (Todd Bowden in "Apt Pupil" is one; The First Baptist Church in Eliot from "Rita Hayworth And ...

I've heard nothing but bad shit about Timeline the movie. I dunno if they kept the quantam theory idea in it, but I do know for a fact that they're depending on Paul Walker to actually carry the movie. I've also heard it does fuck up everything that made the book good, and that this may be the movie ...

Regina Spektor, Kings of Leon, and... *drumroll* The Strokes, on Halloween. With three of my friends.

If The Strokes do not play "The End Has No End", I'll be ROYALLY aggravated. I friggin' love that song.

Hello? John Kerry! C'mon! Vietnam Vet who finally decided the war was wrong? Purple Heart holder? Has a Republican wife, is middle-of-the-road if slightly left, and has already weathered insults for speaking against Bush (first guy to go "we need a regime change in Washington" -- now a fuckin ...

You see, you have to reach popularity as an independent artist if you want to actually get a good record deal in this country.

For example... Dave Matthews Band was making $1 million a year based off of their grassroots promoting. RCA offered them something like a 10 or 15-album contract, but ...

Here's a question -- after shuffling the reasoning for the war against Iraq around when we were found out, it finally was for the "freedom of the Iraqi people".

Yet soldiers still patrol the streets, and now have to engage in urban warfare with people they've supposedly freed. How the fuck is ...

Here's hoping GTA4 is a PS3 game, hopefully a launch title.

By the way: there will also be a PS4, in 2010. This was the original business plan Sony's had since announcing the development of their own game system after Nintendo dumped the thing as a CD add-on for the SNES.

But that's seven ...

Inspiration: Watching Johnny Cash's video for "Hurt" and seeing the Man In Black and how he's... fading, you could say. The structure of this even seems to be kind of like "Hurt" and that lyrical structure. It has no title because nothing I can think of sums up the poem, or catches my eye as a good ...

Thom Yorke's got nothing on me in "oddly phrases hated love" songs.

Tripping wires

Broken promises,
strings and harnesses,
holding up the moon for you.
Trials for trouble,
the silence and rubble,
making me see red
when you come through.

Tripping wires,
soothsayers and liars,
who ...

The Jerk Factor -- Theories and Discussions

From what I've discovered about people, some of it comes down to this.

Maturity is different among person to person. Everybody matures; but some don't mature enough, either at certain times or at all, to provide themselves with a sense of self-responsibility, or even a good sense of reality, that ...

Rites

If there's a light at the end of this tunnel
won't you wake me up to let me see it
If there's troubled times ahead
won't you snap me out of my trance
and if you're going to go down in flames
can't you grab ...

Procastination Lament

I'd cry but it's all the same,
and I've got no one else to blame.
I'd fight back if the opponent wasn't me;
I wish I could exist as what I want to be.

My eyes should be gone because of my own hand ...

How about none of these people? Chris doesn't play guitar; he does piano and singing only. Maynard's voice I don't care for, and Aaron Lewis is past his prime in both vocals and guitar playing.

And David Gilmour? Seems very strange of a choice to put in there, period, with all the contemporary ...

Because sometimes you have to take risks.

Kinda like what Sandler did by making this film.

This movie is oddly quaint, it's quiet... it's a darling of a film, I think. Holds itself away from P.T. Anderson's other works, but ties together nicely -- I mean, all his movies have been about love ...
