Due to the fact that there are so many music threads with very small tidbits of info, i've created this thread for all music news that is to small for its own topic. (Feel free to delete if we already have something similar)
First music item of the day:
The title of U2's new album will be "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb." The song "Vertigo" will be the first single of the cd.

GWEN STEFANI will release her debut solo album 'LOVE ANGEL MUSIC BABY' on November 22.
Stefani will precede 'Love Angel Music Baby' with the single 'What You Waiting For' earlier in November.

For all you John Lennon fans out there:
Capitol Records has announced it will release a 17-track acoustic compilation CD by John Lennon. Acoustic will be released on Nov. 2 along with a remastered version of his Rock n’ Roll album.

the cure is the MTV Icon for the UK. not sure if it will be broadcast in the U.S. but the bands that are performing their songs are: AFI, Blink 182, yeah yeah yeahs (maybe), and there are more, but i'm not sure offhand. i heard eminem will be doing something, but i think that's just a rumor. BUT THANK GOD 311 WON'T BE PLAYING. also, marilyn manson is hosting.

Reuters reports that Johnny Ramone, the lead guitarist with the influential U.S. punk rock band The Ramones, died yesterday after a five-year battle with prostate cancer.
