It's essentially the status update feature of FaceBook and nothing else.

i don't get the deal with twitter. do people really care that much about their friend's lives minute to minute?

Exactly. The only real point of one is if it's a band or something.

Yup, that's what I use mine for. I don't plan on ever Tweeting, and I've only added bands (and friends who somehow found and added me to theirs). Not that I don't love my friends, but if you find out every little thing they're doing every minute of the day on there, what on earth would there be to talk about when you actually get in touch with them?

Another thing I like Twitter for is news. You get to read short one line headlines then click on a link if you want to read the whole story.

i really like twitter for news, especially about local events. someone's started a great twitter about arts events in calgary, and the city of calgary has a twitter where they post info about, well, the city -- transportation and emergency services and emergency weather info and stuff. i think it's great!

I'm Shanae_ , but my tweets are usually in response to musicians, or to MuchMusic. It's actually cooler than you'd think when they put your tweet on the air! Haha.

I didn't put it down before, but I'm CarsonMB.
Just don't really expect any exciting or insightful tweets from me as I only usually respond to tweets - doubt my daily life is exciting enough to tweet about!
