http://www.alternativeaddiction.com/news.asp?action=detail&article=218 wrote:OLP lead singer Raine Maida has also been working recently with Avril Lavigne, producing and co-writing tracks. According to an Our Lady Peace fan website,
http://www.ourladypeace.cc, Maida produced a track called "He Wasn't," along with four others, one of which he co-wrote called "Fall To Pieces." Raine Maida, Butch Walker, and whole list of other talented rock musicians will be contributing to the new Avril record, making her seem more talented than she really is.

It's true.

it's not definite if maida produced this...as i checked on the rolling stone article which was very similar to the Canoe one...(which I can't find anymore)...it just says Maida produced 5 (I think) songs, and co-wrote Fall to Pieces. What is definite is that Kreviazuk co-wrote He Wasn't.

No, recently they released a tracklisting that mentioned the producer for every song. Raine produced He Wasn't.
And I'm sorry to say it, but I'm not very happy with it. It's too bouncy and happy, I think it would've worked much better as an angry break-up song. And the "hey hey"s make no sense whatsoever. Meh.

My Happy Ending is a sweet song. I have acoustic versions of He Wasn't and My Happy Ending, if anyone wants them.
I think I'm going to purchase this album. I like.

I really like how it sounds. The lyrics don't impress me much though, which is why I'm hoping its not one she co-wrote with Chantal.

studio version of he wasn't is definitely weird, and i personally don't like it - i think it's crap. acoustic is way better. raine - what the hell were you thinking?
