I just got off the phone with the Trump Marina and it is still definatley on!!!! I hate ticketmaster they are selling tickets but forgot to take their stupid sign of say that it was cancelled. But on October 18 we will all still be seeing Our Lady Peace

in fact, i'll help you. they suck so bad. i got my ticks...well..my parents have them so I'm definitely there!!!!!

i was still planning on showing up, if only to rally against ticketmaster outside. but it would have been nice if the band showed up and like...5 fans and we all got a private concert(without opening acts).

I am one of the lucky fans who actually did get a private performance. It was a few years ago, and it happened by accident. I was really uncomfortable, but I know that will never ever happen again and I should consider myself lucky.

i did that once...but it wasn't the same. they don't have the same amount of energy when they are duct taped to the floor.

well I actually duct taped Raine and said unless you perform for me you can't write or sing again. You know how much of a workaholic Raine is and can't go without singing or writing so they agreed to perform for me.

OK, if it means OLP would play Blister for me, specifically, I would be the band's bitch. Forever. Anything would be done, except for weird sexual favors involving my nipples and electrodes.

Thank Bethany. It isn't really private. i just don't talk about it really because people will take it the wrong way or get jealous. but if you guys must know. In 2000 their Fan Club gave out Soundcheck passes to the Blister Tour to the fans in the PPU. You called up the night before the show and give your name. I went up for 4 shows. At one of the Soundchecks the arena didn't have my tickets or passes for me. It was upsetting ot say the least. I went to the backstage area(as we did the day before for SC), I walked around awhile. I saw Duncan and Jeremy and told them my tickets were screwed up and I didn't have tickets for the show. Duncan told me not to worry, that they would always take care of me, and that their TM will be out with the passes. When he came out I was the only one there so I got my own private soudcheck. It was weird I tell you. i was uncomfortalbe being the only person there. I mean you are the center of attention and all. it was nerve racking. I keep praying they wouldn't talk to me. Raine kept asking me things and I waslike*please don't talk to me*. they were doing Van Halen songs so i aksed if they take request and Riane asked what I wanted to hear. I said *RUnning with the Devil* which is my fave VH song. they did it. they also did 3 of their songs. It was maybe 30Min-45Min long. Now if that happend I wouldn't be nervous because I know the band better now. Back then it was uncomfortable for me because this was when I frist started to really travel all over to see them and I kept thinking all these things. It wasn't too last year that i really got feedback on all of this.
This is why I appreciate OLP the way I do. it isn't the same for me when I see them and meet them.

LOL that's great. It's kinda like how Steph and I walked into their soundcheck and were the only ones there. We just stood way back and watched them do Blister and Innocent. They were going into Story when we were asked to leave by security. Then Brandon from Greenwheel let us back in, then we were escorted back out. I think they learned their lesson. Open door + curious kids + horrendously hot weather = Curious kids walking towards music and away from horrendous heat. I wish I could hit up another soundcheck like that. Raine messed up on Thief and just stopped singing and stared at the ground. It was classic I say, classic.
